Eligibility:
All characters in each ship must canonically identify as women, or a reader/viewer must be able to reasonably infer that they do.
This is the only eligibility requirement!
Notes on nominations:
Each participant may nominate up to 5 fandoms with up to 10 relationships in each.
Do not nominate 'All Media Types' or '& Related Fandoms' fandoms.
- Please be as specific as possible to avoid confusion.
- If your fandom's most fitting tag is an 'All Media Types' or '& Related Fandoms' fandom, please email us or comment on this post to discuss!
Crossovers: Crossover ships are permitted, subject to the eligibility rules above. These should be nominated under 'Crossover Fandom' with the fandom name for each character in brackets, e.g. Leia Organa (SW Original Trilogy)/Natasha Romanoff (MCU).
Original characters in non-original canons: You may nominate Character/Original Character(s), e.g. Leia Organa/Original Character; Hermione Granger/Original Characters. Any original character(s) nominated will be assumed to be women.
Original Works: Original ships are permitted. These must be nominated under ‘Original Work' in the format 'Character Type/Character Type' e.g. ‘Queen/Advisor’, ’Pilot/Soldier/General’, etc. All characters will be assumed to be women. If they are not nominated in this way, they will be rejected.
Franchises:

The guidelines below are for some popular franchises with particular issues on AO3. If you believe your fandom has potential for similar confusion, please do get in touch to discuss.
Arrowverse
- Please nominate the Arrowverse shows separately.
- In-universe Arrowverse crossovers (e.g. Kara Zor-El/Iris West, not Kara Zor-El/Leia Organa): we're happy for you to nominate those under whichever show you think fits best, or under Crossover Fandom.
MCU
- Please nominate the movies together under Marvel Cinematic Universe; each of the shows should be nominated separately.
- In-universe MCU/show crossovers (e.g. Natasha Romanoff/Jessica Jones, not Natasha Romanoff/Leia Organa): we're happy for you to nominate those under whichever MCU canon you think fits best, or under Crossover Fandom.
Star Wars
- Star Wars should be split into Star Wars Prequel Trilogy, Star Wars Original Trilogy, Star Wars Sequel Trilogy, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016), Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) and then individual properties (e.g. Star Wars: Rebels, etc.). If in doubt, please ask!
- TCW: please nominate as "Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) - All Media Types" (please do not use All Media Types for anything else)
- Marvel Comics: please nominate as “Star Wars (Marvel Comics)”, regardless of the era the comics from which you are nominating characters are set in
- In-universe SW crossovers (e.g. Rey/Jyn Erso, not Rey/Natasha Romanoff): we're happy for you to nominate those under whichever SW canon you think fits best, or under Crossover Fandom.
If any nominations require clarification, we'll ask questions in a separate post.
