Collection open + the "Reveals Bug"

In the last several months, exchanges on AO3 have occasionally been hit by a bug where works posted to an unrevealed collection (whether by fulfilling your assignment, clicking on "Post to Collection" or simply filling in the collection manually on a new work) do not in fact behave as unrevealed works. If the bug does affect you, your work will be visible straight away and your recipient will receive a notification email about it.
The bug can be avoided if, when posting, you first save your work as a draft. If the draft comes up with the author credit showing as "by Anonymous [your AO3 username]", then the collection's settings have been correctly applied and you can proceed to post the work. If it does not, then you will have to delete and start the posting process again.
