Round 2 coming soon
Jun. 3rd, 2019 08:45 pmFollowing the success of Round 1, we'll be back very shortly for this year's round.
Provisional Schedule
(all times 23:59 UTC)
Nominations Open: Friday 7 June
Nominations Close: Monday 17 June
Signups Open: Friday 21 June
Signups Close: Monday 1 July
Deadline: Friday 16 August
Works reveals: Friday 23 August
Creator reveals: Friday 30 August
We will almost certainly stick with this unless anyone comes up with compelling arguments against it; do let us know if it's going to cause widespread problems.
Changes for this round
Art: Art will be allowed as a medium this round, including as a matching criterion.
Different types of "After Dark" content: We are considering using a small number of freeform tags to allow participants to express which types of content that fit the overall theme (M/E rated femslash) they are interested in receiving/creating. We are open to suggestions about what these freeforms could include.

Date: 2019-06-05 04:53 pm (UTC)I think if you're to implement freeforms it would work best if they were kept simple; perhaps just "smut" or "violence." However if you go this route, I'm unsure about the way matching will be implemented. For example, I'm open to receiving a story with violent content, but I would be disappointed not to receive smut. So I would like to match on either "smut only" or "smut and violence" but not "violence only."
If you can figure out a way to make that happen, then I would be supportive! But like the poster said above, I really like the way it ran last year. I'm open to the idea of limited freeforms, but I'd be just as happy without them.
